Behind the scenes of the day 18 photoshoot. On Tuesdays I organize a free photography club teaching people about lighting and their DSLRs (called Crossroads DSLR Photography Club). So on every other tuesday we do a photoshoot day, so the photos from those days will usually have a group of people / helpers.
Aushel (girl in white on the left) was helping hold the fans in the right direction to get a good hair shot, and Shanda (on right) was flinging the scarf up right before the shot. Even though we were cutting Jenisse (the model in this photo) out in photoshot, we still try to shoot against the color we're going to end up with. Sometimes we will do a complete green screen but sometimes green screen could backfire and you end up getting no good shots cause the lighting was bad or half their clothes disappear cause they were wearing a similar color. Also.. when we started this photoshoot, we had no clue what the final result would be, so at the time of taking the photo, we didn't even know we would be removing the background at the time. Its always a good idea to get a couple safety shots (pictures you know will work if your photoshop skills end up not working the way you expected) so you don't have to reshoot if the editing didn't work out.
