Photo Spotlight Construction Paper Island Dream 33/365February 2, 2011 Portfolio
Day 33 (Feb 2nd) of 365 Island Dream made out of construction paper. Strobist Info & Process: Construction paper shot all put together in 1 pic (except me and shanda), Canon Speedlite 430ex II on 1/2 power sitting on floor next to paper to give a very detailed texture to the paper. Another photo taken with fill light from bouncing off the ceiling. Then the two photos merged and overlayed in photoshop. The wave construction paper was the same color as the sky so I changed the color of the paper too. I then imported both photos of Shanda and I, (which were taken with 1 light on left and another light bouncing to help fill, I am trying to simulate the same light from the paper). I outlined us with the magic wand, then did a Refine Selection and expanded my selection to include some of the white background, so it looked like we were cut out of paper. I added a shadow in the same direction to help match the shadow from the paper. Then I added the same paper texture to the people so it matched. COMMENTS |
