My first time lighting a car. 2003 Mercedes C240 AWD I used 3 or 4 lights, depending on the shot, all on lightstands telescoped taller than the car pointing down. 2x 580ex II's, and 2x 430ex ii's, triggered with 2 RadioPopper receivers and a 3.5mm stereo Y cable splitter. Each light was about 5 feet away from the other lights. No light modifiers. Edited in Lightroom 3 and some touchups in Photoshop CS5. Taken with a 5D Mark II, EF24-105mm f/4L at about 28mm, 1/200 sec at f/6.3 ISO 400, taken at 8:15pm, so there was still some ambient light but the flashes pretty much overpowered it. The carbon fiber in the car is a 3M Di-Noc Dry Carbon Fiber Wrap of the original wood trim. I dont know why I always forget to take a few steps back and take a photo of the light setup. COMMENTS |
